Three Star Victory Strategy
SIMPLE STRAT:
1 Break Hit on each of the Puppet Masters and you are done, assuming you are a high level , 60+.
LONG STRAT.
The author of this strategy earned three stars on this battle without knowing the secret condition. The following strategy assumes that both Controlled Ones must survive to satisfy the secret condition. The strategy may need to be altered once the secret condition has been documented.
To make this fight very easy, simply link Kaim and Seth to Tolten, and learn Break Hit. Ignore the controlled ones, and simply use Break Hit over and over on the Puppet Masters until they are dead. You will meet the secret condition (which is killing them before X amount of turns, I don't know the exact number) and that's it.
Use a standard battlefield lineup of three sword/gun characters, a Black Magic user and a White Magic user. The front line should be equipped with Guard, but be advised that Counter and its ilk is not recommended for this battle. Also, two of your front line should have Cut Down equipped. Equipping rings with the Magic Killer enhancement is advised. Avoid rings which have elemental damage bonuses since these will actually heal the Puppet Masters instead of damaging them. This includes the Rumble Ring and Dark Crystal Ring.
Begin the battle by using Cut Down on the enemies' front line to reduce their GC. Be mindful that you want to keep both Controlled Ones alive, so don't over-do it. Have all of your other characters attack a single Puppet Master.
Continue having all of your characters fight the Puppet Masters, picking them off one at a time. The Puppet Masters have no elemental affinity, so use your most powerful Black Magic against them, but avoid magic and skills that have an area effect that might harm the Controlled Ones. (Avoid spells like Prism and Shadow.)
The battle will end as soon as all of the Puppet Masters have been defeated.
Tips
- Equip all your Immortals with Spirit Magic (at least level 2) and just cast Gamble at the Puppet Masters.
