Jansen Friedh

Jansen Friedh is a male magician who serves as a large portion of the comic relief in the game, he is one of the five mortal characters from the game and is the first mortal character to join your team. Physically weak and cowardly by nature, Jansen prefers to let his magic do the talking during a battle. He is especially skilled in the use of black magic, using it to rain destruction down on his enemies... from a safe distance of course.

As the lackey of Gongora, the royal adviser of Uhra, Jansen has lived an easy, sheltered life. He spends his days doing Gongora's dirty work for a small fee, and his nights doing his own. The wisecracking Jansen spends a remarkable amount of energy complaining about having to do real work, leaving little remaining to actually do any. Once past his womanizing and complaints, Jansen is a valuable member of the team when Gongora orders him to tag along. There's something fishy about Jansen, though, and Kaim and Seth know it—they keep one eye on the trail and one eye on their shifty teammate. Jansen's loyalties may run only as deep as his pockets, and when the money runs out, so might his obedience to Gongora.
